Navy +2 3.3* Friday Night Lights Off a nice win last night we look to back that up on Friday night with the Midshipmen who I think have some momentum here after defeating Air Force last week as they will look to move to 3-3. I think there is a major head coaching advantage as Central Mich head coach Dan Enos is about to get run out of town. This defense is ranked 122nd allowing 6.1 yards per carry and is 117th in scoring defense giving up 105 points in back to back games to a couple of MAC teams. Now they have faced some good rushing teams, but Navy brings something different with their triple option and the Chippewas have just 2 days to prepare on the short week. I donât see anyway that they can contain Navyâs rushing game.  On the other side the Chippewas like to pass 60% of the time and Navy thus far is ranked 36th in pass yardage defense and are in the top 50 in sack %. They can stop this team on third down despite struggling this year as Central Mich is just 79th on third down conversions. Navy is ranked 19th in red zone defense and recently held San Jose State who has a very good balanced offense to 4 field goals. Central Mich on the other hand is 106th in RZ defense and Navy is going to greatly benefit from that. Central Michigan has been unable to get off the field 75th in third down defense and 118th in 4th down defense allowing 87.5 % of 4th downs to be converted. Thatâs an important stat because Navy will go for it on 4th down often if they have to and they are 7-9 so far this year.  Even though the stats say Central Michigan has had the tougher schedule. Iâm not buying it because the Big Ten is down this year. Michigan State does not look nearly as good as they were supposed to be and they struggled in their last two games getting by Indiana and Eatern Mich. Central Mich also played Iowa who has not looked like world beaters and Northern Illinois and Toledo are good teams but Northern Illinois ran all over the Chippewas despite having a rebuilt offensive line.  On the other side Navy had to go to Dublin to play Notre Dame who is the real deal, Penn State who has been very hot lately and San Jose State a team that nobody is talking about yet they only lost one game and it was at Stanford by just 3 points. They finally wont he TO battle last week against Air Force and I think that will carry into this week.
